GJ Awards: Resident Evil Village is the best game of 2021

On the night of November 23-24, the Golden Joystick Awards 2021 took place, at which the best games of the last year according to the users’ version were named. The winners were determined by a large-scale vote, in which gamers from all over the world could take part. The organizers claim to have received “millions of votes”.

Resident Evil Village by Capcom became the best game of 2021 according to users, while critics opted for Bethesda’s Deathloop. At the same time, the user award is considered the most important, because there are many more votes.

In general, Resident Evil Village won in four categories at once, and the audience named Capcom the best developer of the year.

Finally, the most anticipated game of 2021 has been announced as Elden Ring from FromSoftware.

Recall that last year, Golden Joystick Awards viewers chose The Last of Us Part II as the best game of the year, and Hades was voted by the polled critics.
